Great concept Cody. I like this. It is an excellent solution to the fortune, and creates an image that works even without the words.
The drawing is simple and conveys the concept, but has nice textures and details. Unless you plan on incorporating the type (perhaps hand-lettered if so) I'd consider a slight modification or two so that we understand the piano is actually falling, and he's not just walking over to it.
You can do this while still keeping it flat and graphic.
Either with ...
-movement lines, or a sense of movement in the drawing of the piano that isn't apparent in the man,
-With shadows
-or by positioning the piano so it isn't exactly parallel to the ground, and therefore could not be resting there.
Just a thought. Looking forward to your other two concepts!

Linework is awesome and has a lot of character, and I love the dark humour of the concept.
I love your illustration of the man, especially his hands.
